We are almost a month into the new year and we are looking back at all the changes that 2016 brought. Pegasus entered it's 30th anniversary year in September and we are now gearing up for the 30th Recital! It is scary, exciting and generally amazing that Pegasus is that old. The dream of Pegasus was born small, and we have really watched it grow from a baby in Lynda's (co-founder) basement, to adulthood. Thank you for being part of that journey. We are excited to move into middle-age! We've had many teachers over the 30 years, but last year we said goodbye to Eleanor, Adrienne, Claire and Kara, while welcoming Jan and Whitney back in September as full faculty. Our amazing ballet teacher, Morgan moved back to Ottawa but not before starting us off on a new summer adventure in Wonderland and promising to come back again this summer to continue building our Alice in Wonderland Summer Production. Morgan will be adding new choreography this year and expanding the one act ballet we started creating in 2016! Every year we try to build, add or update something at Pegasus and last year was no different. We introduced a new AcroDance syllabus and will continue to expand on that program moving forward. We added a new preschool play room and music room, and updated the third floor hallway and studio spaces. We are excited to look ahead to next year now and start planning the future of Pegasus. We are always open to hearing from our community about where you would like to see Pegasus grow, and things we can add to serve you better. We will be sending out a studio wide survey this February as a place to do just that, so look for it in your inbox next month! With gratitude, Jane, Lisa & the Pegasus Team.
