 “Practice makes perfect.”
Chances are you’ve heard this saying many, many times in your life. (We sure have!) It’s one of the most well-known proverbs, with roots that go all the way back to the 16th century. And while we appreciate its intention, here at Pegasus Dance Studios, we much prefer to say “practice makes progress.” Why? Because we don’t teach perfection as a goal. Especially when it comes to the showcase, we strive for every dancer to highlight their knowledge and skills, and to express their joy. We want the performance to be their opportunity to celebrate achievements big and small, public and personal. And a focus on perfection detracts from all of those things.

 June Monthly Minute
Dear Pegasus Families, It is hard to believe that this season’s classes are OVER! In some ways, it has been the longest year and in other ways, it feels like we are waiting to get started! Thank you to all those who came to the studio to pick up Fall Registration Packages and for sharing your love, gratitude, and appreciation. Lisa and I loved connecting with you and we shared your messages with our faculty. We all wish that we could have been together, connected, and done more. But your messages lifted us up with appreciation. When we are in doubt, we know that dance matters, that the arts do matter, to our kids and to us. The arts bring joy to our lives. Thank you! FALL REGISTRATION I hope you have had a chance to look over your Fall Registration package. We miss the opportunity to chat and answer any questions, so I want to take this opportunity to open up the conversation. |
