Dear Dance Studio Families,
As we navigate through the sometimes challenging period of 'farch', a term coined for the mid-winter blues encompassing the endless days of February and March, our focus at the studio this month is on consistency and commitment. It's an opportune moment for us to recalibrate, refresh our perspectives, and rededicate ourselves to achieving success at the upcoming Spring Showcase 2024!
At Pegasus Studios, we are dedicated to using the arts as a tool for nurturing children to become their best selves. Through our programs and classes, we foster positive connections and a sense of community, while consistently encouraging and embodying our core values.
With nearly four decades of history, our studio has weathered many seasons within this community, supporting parents, educating children, and experiencing the highs and lows that come with it. Through these experiences, we've honed in on who we are and what we stand for.
While many businesses have multiple core values, we have distilled ours down to three principles that we believe, when upheld, guide everything else: Trust, Respect, and Kindness.
In the studio classrooms:
TRUST - We trust in the process, emphasizing focus and consistency. We celebrate the small changes that occur over time, recognizing and honoring the journey.
RESPECT - We instill a culture of self-respect and respect for others, their opportunities, and the support they provide along the way. Respect is a foundational principle; it must be given to be received.
KINDNESS - Above all else, we prioritize kindness. We encourage our dancers to treat each other, their environment, and the world around them with compassion and empathy.
As a studio community:
TRUST - We ask you to trust in our expertise and experience. With decades of industry knowledge and a commitment to ongoing education, we are dedicated to providing the best for you and your family. Trust that we are invested in your success.
RESPECT - We cultivate an inclusive environment where every student and family is valued and respected for their uniqueness. We ask for mutual respect in return, understanding that our offerings may not suit everyone, but we value each individual's journey.
KINDNESS - Our interactions are grounded in kindness. We greet and treat each other with warmth and compassion, fostering a supportive and uplifting community.
We are unwavering in our commitment to upholding these values. Through regular meetings, training, and evaluations, we hold ourselves accountable. We understand the importance of difficult conversations and taking responsibility for our choices and actions.
Learning and growth are not always easy, but they are essential. As role models, we support our dancers in setting and achieving their goals, emphasizing the importance of dedication and resilience. Together, we empower our children to take ownership of their commitments and recognize the valuable life lessons embedded within their dance journey.
