 Dear Pegasus Families,
Welcome back to classes after the holidays! Although this is not how we had thought we would return, we are excited to connect with each and every student on zoom. We are proud to continue to offer consistent weekly class experiences that support the physical, social-emotional, and mental health of our students. We have learned from teaching and learning virtually in the past that some of us struggle but there are also some of us who thrive with virtual learning! We know that at this time, this is the safest way to be together and we will do all that we can to connect with each and every child. The Pegasus faculty and staff have connected in a Zoom meeting to brainstorm new and exciting ways to continue to provide fun and engaging learning for our students. For the older students we will encourage them to be part of the discussion of what they need and want their time to look like and for the younger students we encourage you to connect with us with any ideas of engaging with your children online. We continue to plan for being back in the studio, making all necessary adaptations to our programs, following local, national, and industry guidance in order to support a Safer Studio™ learning environment with air purification and ventilation in our studios, N95 masking for our teachers and staff, and regular antigen testing. We will continue our enrollment management with 50% capacity in the building and continue with our current mask policy for all students and staff at all times. We look forward to being back in the studio together very soon, but please know that each teacher is looking at their class plans to focus on various forms of learning that address the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical health of your child. It will look different than being together in person, but each teacher continues to plan for the best classes for your children. We have some fun and engaging activities up our sleeves! We also continue to prepare and plan for spring performances, sharing hope and confidence with our students of brighter days ahead! Thank you for continuing with us and I am available if you have any questions or would like to share ideas for our virtual classes. We appreciate you for allowing us to be part of the educational community for your child.  Out of an abundance of caution and following the trends in our community we have decided to postpone the reopening of Pegasus Studios classes until Saturday, January 8th. There will be no classes Monday to Friday of this coming week.
We hope that this will give everyone who is able time to Vaccinate &/or get boosters while we put in place additional health and safety measures. We will extend the season to make up for this week and we hope that we all will remain healthy and continue to dance together. We want to make sure we are doing everything we can for happy, healthy and safe families. UPDATE: WE WILL REOPEN FOR VIRTUAL CLASSES STARTING SATURDAY |
