Dear Pegasus Families,

It is hard to believe that this season’s classes are OVER! In some ways, it has been the longest year and in other ways, it feels like we are waiting to get started! Thank you to all those who came to the studio to pick up Fall Registration Packages and for sharing your love, gratitude, and appreciation. Lisa and I loved connecting with you and we shared your messages with our faculty. We all wish that we could have been together, connected, and done more. But your messages lifted us up with appreciation. When we are in doubt, we know that dance matters, that the arts do matter, to our kids and to us. The arts bring joy to our lives. Thank you! 
 
FALL REGISTRATION
I hope you have had a chance to look over your Fall Registration package.  We miss the opportunity to chat and answer any questions, so I want to take this opportunity to open up the conversation.

Our Faculty and Staff take time each year to look at the needs of all students and make recommendations for the 2021-22 Season.  These were included in your package.
We have both Foundation and Progressive Technique classes to meet the needs of all students, whether they are a once a week dancer or a dancer who is committed to several classes a week. For each dancer’s progress we look at three criteria: 1. Emerging Skills 2. Developing Skills 3. Mastering Skills.
Please also note that most dancers will spend two years in a level before mastering all of the skills necessary for the next level. Parent support to help manage expectations goes a long way towards a positive response regardless of which level they are placed in for the next season : )

Your child’s placement recommendation is on your Parent Portal, but we also are happy to set a time to chat. Please make an appointment below.

STUDENT CHECK-IN MEETINGS 
These meetings are intended to help you plan for the next season and for you to share any thoughts with us. Please use this link to set up an appointment with either Carolyn, Katie, Lara or Jane. Please specify if you would like to speak to a particular person. We are all free and happy to chat.

SHOWCASE WATCH PARTY! 
Mark your calendar!  June 28, 29 & 30!  More details will be emailed and posted on the website Showcase page and the Pegasus Families FB page (links below). We will post the day and time of your child’s performances, and tips to follow performance day traditions into a real Celebration!

ON MY MIND
I had the pleasure of helping with some of the classes this past weekend, and again next weekend as we record our zoom classes for our Showcase. What I saw filled me with joy watching the dancers embrace the challenges of virtual dancing with grace.  The love and passion for dance, for connection, for the consistency of showing up however they could was clear. My heart is full of joy knowing that our children have learned resilience and that they are prepared for whatever life throws at them in the future.

Congratulations to all!  For those who made it to the end of the season and also to those who did not, knowing that they did what was best for them and their families in the most difficult of times.  We love and support each and everyone on their journey.  I also would like to send a very special congratulations to each and every parent. I see you, I feel your heart, I understand what it takes to find a way to do your best for our children. I stand beside you, celebrating you, as you continue to be the strength and the wind that makes your child fly!!
 
See you at the Watch Party! Invite your friends and family to celebrate with us!  Put on your dancing shoes and help us celebrate the ‘Magic' with our Finale Song “Magic Carpet Ride” by KSM.
