Rafiki (Friend) Chains will be sold at Pegasus Studios this Holiday Season! In Swahili, the word for friend is “rafiki.” These handmade beaded chains are made by women in Kenya who sell them as a source of income and to show the world their skills and traditions. They can be worn as a necklace, bracelet, anklet or headband. Why: Each $10 Rafiki Chain supports Free the Children’s Adopt a Village program by giving a child a life-changing gift (such as clean water, school supplies, health care) as well as providing sustainable income to the artisan who made it. When: Rafiki Chains will be sold at Pegasus Studios from December 6-13, 2014. Where: On Saturdays look for the booth by the reception desk. From Monday-Friday Rafiki Chains can be purchased directly from the reception desk (cash only). Give a great holiday gift while changing the world!
