Last December, before the idea of a pandemic was on our radar, we decided to make this year's theme "Magic". Well, we have seen just how real the magic of coming together through dance and art is over the past few months, and we are believers! Below you will find some "Back to Dance Guidelines". These are based on our COVID policies and will the practices that we will use every day to do our best to keep your family and our families healthy so that we can keep the magic going. Back to Dance Guidelines:1. Have fun!We are so excited to see you and look forward to making safe and joyful dance magic with you. 2. Pre-class wellness checkEveryone will complete a health check each day and this will be confirmed upon arrival at the studio that you have answered NO to all questions. 3. When you arrive
4. In the classroom
5. CohortsWhile we understand that many of you in class might be considered family COHORTS outside of PDS, we ask that you respect our classroom rules and adhere to social distancing rules at all times while in the Studio. Our goal is to get back to normal as soon as possible! To do that, we all need to play by the rules and respect the guidelines in place while dancing together. 6. MasksMasks are mandatory while coming to the studio, in shared spaces at all times. All instructors will be wearing masks, unless for personal reasons. We will be following all guidelines for healthy practices for children while dancing, which is for all children over the age of 2 to be wearing a mask. We encourage dancers to wear a mask as much as possible during their dance classes, following the Toronto Mandatory Mask or Face Covering By-Law (541-2020). Teachers will be aware of the restrictions on mask wearing places on students, as well as the by-law regulations and will adjust their classes accordingly. 7. Outside studio classroomsAt this time we ask that parents of children over 7 years of age be dropped off and wait for students outside of the building. Students under the age of 7 can escort their child in and, if not necessary, leave and come back at pick up. There are NO waiting room areas open at this time. Children coming on their own, should arrive just before time of class and leave afterwards. There is no ‘hang’ out space or meals eaten at the studio at this time. 8. BathroomsPlease use the bathroom before coming to class. If you need to go during class please follow the signs for proper hand washing and ensure there are not more than 2 people in the washroom at a time. 9. Change roomsAt this time change rooms are closed! Please come ready for class. Our Performance Team put together a fun video to demonstrate all of these new guidelines. P.S. Dancing through the building is highly encouraged!
See you next week. 😀
