Classes
Discovery classes are recommended to be taken with at least one other class for two classes per week
Ballet
Our ballet programs are designed to introduce our youngest dancers to classical techniques in a nurturing and supportive environment. Through a variety of music, songs, and rhymes children will develop gross motor skills and confidence. The classes are imagination driven and will become the foundation for the love of dance and movement for years to come. Little Ballet - 3 year olds Creative Ballet - 4 year olds Ballet 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Modern
Modern is a fun introduction to the structure of a dance class. Students will explore creative movement through improvisation while gaining the foundations of Modern dance technique. Themes and stories are used to inspire and make connections to the lessons that teach everything from body awareness to musicality. Music and Movement - 3 year olds Creative Modern - 4 year olds Modern 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a high energy form of dance that evolved from Break dancing and encompasses street style movements, also known as Urban Dance. Introducing the style of Hip Hop helps improve coordination and helps young dancers identify and move to the beat of the music and have fun! Creative Hip Hop - 4 year olds Hip Kids 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Jazz & Tap
Jazz and Tap classes encourage a vitality and enthusiasm for dance while training a versatile dancer. Tap teaches the understanding of the feet as musical instruments and Jazz focuses on developing technique while working on fun choreography. Combo Jazz/Tap 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Art
Discovery of Art Exploration: Our classes for Level 1/2 students will spend time on drawing practices before diving into our main focus, Mixed Media Projects! Each class, students will be guided through part of a larger project as we explore a variety of mediums, such as acrylics, watercolors, pastels and sculpture. The main focus will be on exploring the basics of art and learning new techniques through imagination. Art 1-3 - 5 to 10 year olds Dance with heart
At Pegasus Studios we believe that every child should have the opportunity to make positive connections through the arts. Dance with Heart extends our mission of supporting more families in our community through arts education. The Dance with Heart classes are taught by a certified Rhythm Works instructor, a certified Rhythm Works assistant and teen volunteers from our STEP program will assist the children with special needs. Please see our Dance with Heart page listed under specialty programs for more details. |

What people are saying...
My name is Claire and I have been dancing at Pegasus since the age of 2. I started out by taking Lara's Music and Movement class once a week and now I take 8 classes a week.
The Pegasus community is warm and welcoming. With uplifting teachers, supportive friendships and new opportunities, Pegasus has grown to be a huge part of my life.
Preparing for my RAD ballet exams is always exciting, especially with teachers who push you to become the best you can be while also supporting and encouraging you along the way. The yearly recital is an amazing opportunity to experience performing for your families and friends. Working towards the recital and learning choreography is a great way to learn the importance of commitment. Twice a week I assist classes as a member of the Student Teacher Education Pegasus Program. Helping the little ones and getting to make a positive impact on the studio always brightens my day.
Only Pegasus could be such a warm environment where everyone feels welcome and appreciated.
