Classes
At this age, it is recommended to take two different class styles per week.
Ballet
The Pegasus Ballet Program introduces young dancers to the grace and discipline of classical ballet in a nurturing, imaginative environment. Through music, songs, and rhymes, our youngest dancers build confidence, coordination, and foundational motor skills—all while discovering the joy of movement. These creative and concept-driven classes spark a love of dance that can last a lifetime. Creative Ballet - 4 year olds Ballet 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Modern
Students will explore creative movement through improvisation while gaining essential foundations in modern dance technique. This program merges technical skills with artistic exploration, helping dancers develop performance dynamics, choreographic abilities, and improvisational confidence. Creative Modern - 4 year olds Modern 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Hip Hop
A high energy form of dance that evolved from Break dancing and encompasses street style movements, also known as Urban Dance. Introducing the style of Hip Hop helps improve coordination and helps young dancers identify and move to the beat of the music and have fun! Creative Hip Kids - 4 year olds Hip Kids 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Jazz & Tap
Our Tap and Jazz classes spark energy, enthusiasm, and a true love for dance, all while building a strong technical foundation. Tap develops rhythm, musicality, and coordination by training dancers to use their feet as percussive instruments. Jazz focuses on dynamic movement and clean technique, paired with fun, expressive choreography. Together, these styles create a well-rounded, versatile dancer ready to shine on stage. Combo Jazz/Tap 1 - 5 & 6 year olds Art
Our classes find the balance between nurturing the young artist and challenging them. Students explore a variety of art mediums including but not limited to watercolour, sketching, sculpting, painting and pastels. Please see our Visual Arts page for more details. Art 1-3 - 5 to 10 year olds |

What people are saying...

My name is Claire and I have been dancing at Pegasus since the age of 2. I started out by taking Lara's Music and Movement class once a week and now I take 8 classes a week.
The Pegasus community is warm and welcoming. With uplifting teachers, supportive friendships and new opportunities, Pegasus has grown to be a huge part of my life.
Preparing for my RAD ballet exams is always exciting, especially with teachers who push you to become the best you can be while also supporting and encouraging you along the way. The yearly recital is an amazing opportunity to experience performing for your families and friends. Working towards the recital and learning choreography is a great way to learn the importance of commitment. Twice a week I assist classes as a member of the Student Teacher Education Pegasus Program. Helping the little ones and getting to make a positive impact on the studio always brightens my day.
Only Pegasus could be such a warm environment where everyone feels welcome and appreciated.
