Last week we started a new initiative in our studio, the Pegasus Kindness Project! Sometimes November can have a bit of a drab feeling to it. The weather starts to get cold, we are still far away from the winter break time, but are well into our fall schedules. Feeling the need for a little heart warming? We certainly are! The Kindness Project is all about that. Remembering that even in the drudge of daily life, the cold of winter just around the corner and the hectic schedules that overwhelm us, a small act of kindness can make someone's day as bright as summer. We have a few things happening around the studio and we'd love if you helped us spread the kindness bug! 1. Last week we brainstormed with students ways to show kindness with our words, our actions, our voices, our eyes, our ears, and more. We made big posters in each studio with all the ideas on them! 2. This week we have put up a giant kindness tree in our reception room. We hope to fill all the branches with leaves that spread messages of kindness. 3. We are recognizing and honouring those little acts of kindness whenever we see them by giving out Pay It Forward Kindness Cards. If you are awarded one of these little cards, make sure to pay it forward and find someone else to pass it on to. We want to notice those small acts of kindness that so often go unnoticed. So, if you see anyone, at Pegasus or outside of Pegasus, do something kind for another person, give them a card! We will be giving each parent a few cards during the Parent Open House this week to help get us started.
