This year's showcase theme is Giving Dreams Wings: Watch Us Soar! Each year we choose a new theme for our Showcases. This gives the teachers a focused idea to build on in their classes and explore through the choreography. This year's theme focuses on elements of flight and dreaming as we build on the yearly theme of getting back to basics so we can reach higher goals.
The Junior Showcase is an in-house performance for the younger classes at Pegasus. We transform Studio A into a performance space so that the dancers can get a feel for performing in front of a large audience and show their family and friends what they’ve been learning all year, in the safe and familiar environment they are used to. The dancers are able to sit in the audience after their class has performed to watch the rest of the show. Each year, several of our senior classes also perform at the Junior Showcase, to inspire the younger dancers.
|
The Senior Showcases are held offsite to provide students with a professional performance experience. The Meridian Centre for the Arts allows our dancers to perform in a venue with a professional stage and backstage space, supported by technicians and high-quality performance equipment.
Showcases are a great opportunity for our dancers to develop their performance skills and gain invaluable experience in front of an audience. Working on showcase choreography is a team effort and all dancers must be committed to their class as fellow students and teachers help create an amazing piece to perform. |

*A NOTE ON ORDERING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS: All families will need to either login to their pre-existing DanceBUG account or create a new one to complete the order form. They will then be prompted to select their dancer from a drop-down menu which will populate a list of all their classes/routines based on the info Pegasus has provided. If you have any dancers who attend your studio who are siblings with different last names or one is hyphenated and the other isn’t, please have them reach out to [email protected] to place an order. In our system, last names must match for a guardian to order multiple dancers together, but we can override that for unique situations via support.
