A fast-moving, challenging program designed to push dancers’ skills in a supportive but rigorous environment. 

Intensive Summer Dance Program

Intensive Summer Dance is a fast-moving, challenging program designed to push dancers’ skills in a supportive but rigorous environment. 

​This program will: 
  • Expose dancers to a variety of dance styles
  • Give dancers the experience of working with professional dance educators
  • Allow dancers to build technique, strength, and stamina through daily practice
  • Give dancers 30 hours of accelerated dance training
  • Encourage dancers to exceed their expectations
Core classes: Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary
Plus additional classes in other dance styles. 
​Previous dance experience required.

Ages: 11-18 years

Fees: Dates: August 25-29th 2025
​Times: 9:00 - 4:00 pm
​
Fees: $669 + HST per week
A minimum of 6 students needed to run camp

Master Teachers

During our Intensive program we will have master teachers working on various styles of dance, endurance training, technique, and expose you to new styles!  Special guest teachers as well as our amazing Pegasus Faculty will be working with our intensive students all week.

An award-winning choreographer and passionate educator, Alysia brings over a decade of experience as both a performer and teacher across Toronto and the GTA. She has had the privilege of training and mentoring dancers of all ages and levels in studios, schools, and competitive settings. As a Dance Instructor, Choreographer, and Performance Team Manager, she specializes in both classical and commercial dance styles. Her classes blend strong technique with creativity and joy, creating a space where dancers can truly thrive. A dedicated advocate for mental health, she believes in the transformative power of movement to build confidence, foster self-expression, and support overall well-being. 

Aly can't wait to be back in the studio and share her love of dance with the Pegasus community! She is so excited to see familiar faces, and meet some new ones!

Ava is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and a graduate of the Teacher Training Program at Canada’s National Ballet School. Under the mentorship of her Pegasus teachers, she successfully completed graded and vocational examinations with the RAD, including Advanced 2. She holds her Progressing Ballet Technique certification, and is committed to ensuring that her students derive the physical, social and emotional benefits of dance.

​Ava aspires to foster a love and appreciation of dance within her students and is eager to support them in reaching their goals. She looks forward to contributing to the inclusive environment at Pegasus through her teaching, as well as through her role as Costume & Dancewear Manager.

Carmen Romero is an award-winning flamenco dance artist based in Toronto, Canada, who has significantly impacted the flamenco community both locally and internationally.
Born with a deep passion for dance, Carmen began her flamenco journey after immigrating to Canada in 1971. She trained under renowned masters in Canada and later returned to Spain to study at Amor de Dios in Madrid, as well as in Seville and Jerez de la Frontera.
Carmen has performed at prestigious festivals and venues, including the Festival Flamenco du Nîmes in France and the Teatro de Cervantes in Madrid. She captivates audiences with her dynamic stage presence and innovative choreographies that blend traditional flamenco with modern interpretations.
For 35 years, she has shared her expertise through the Compania Carmen Romero School of Flamenco Dance Arts in Toronto. Many of her students have become accomplished and award-winning artists, furthering her legacy.
Carmen continues to play an integral role in Toronto's arts scene. She serves as the associate curator for the annual Aga Khan Museum Duende International Flamenco Festival, where she showcases world-renowned artists. Additionally, this September, Carmen will be the lead artist curator for the Jamii Esplanade program, which is themed "Discover Your Passion." This motto reflects her dedication to the art of flamenco and the communities she serves.

Caitlin, an alumna of Pegasus Studios, has received training in RAD ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, modern, and musical theatre. She has been a role model at Pegasus, actively participating in the Pegasus STEPP and Apprenticeship Program, assisting in various styles, and collaborating with the Performance Companies during her training. Caitlin has gone on to become a YPAD Certified teacher and train in the MTJGD program. Her dedication to the
arts, particularly in dance and musical theatre, has been evident throughout her education at Rosedale Heights School of the Arts, where she specialized in both disciplines and had the opportunity to work with many industry professionals.

Recently graduating from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Media, Caitlin's degree equips her with the knowledge of social media complexities and its impact on
children's lives today. During her studies, Caitlin also enrolled in several arts courses, including dance, musical theatre, and improv, where she gained insights from different industry experts.
She is excited to foster a positive and engaging environment for Pegasus students through her teaching and content creation endeavors.

Kennedy is a graduate of the Teacher Training Program at Canada’s National Ballet School and holds registered teacher status with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the International Society of Teachers in Dance (National Branch). She also carries teaching qualifications with Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Silver Swans, and Dance for PD with the Mark Morris Dance Group. Kennedy’s choreography has been seen in collaboration with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra and Fuse (formerly Vera Causa Opera).

Kennedy is passionate about the importance of dance and the positive influence it has on people of all ages and walks of life. She is excited to join the Pegasus faculty and looks forward to
sharing her love of dance and knowledge with her students.

Erica Binder has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of four, competing throughout her childhood and cultivating a lifelong passion for teaching in performing arts. She holds a B.F.A in Dance from York University and has gone on to perform and choreograph for major productions including Disney Cruise Line, TDC Entertainment, Travelling Stage and Diversified Theatre.

Erica spent two performance contracts as an aerialist at Tokyo DisneySea and later owned and directed Stage Door Academy of Dance. Driven by a deep commitment to mental wellness, injury prevention, teamwork, and positivity in dance, Erica now brings
Mindset Presentations to dance teams—helping young performers thrive both on and off the stage.

Currently, she teaches Pilates full-time, performs with Dance Bug across Canada and has begun judging competitions.

NICOLA PANTIN is an independent choreographer, dancer and instructor based in Toronto, Canada. As an independent dance artist, she has had the opportunity to work with numerous choreographers (Selected: Michael Lichtefeld, Gabby Kamino, Robert Desrosiers, Laurie Raymond, Jenn Goodwin) and theatre companies (Selected: Stratford Festival, YPT, Expect Theatre, The Grand, Springworks, Charlottetown Festival). Her work spans concert contemporary dance, musical theatre, opera, plays, film, immersive and site-specific work. Nicola has garnered two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for choreography (Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang, R/J Remixed) and gold with Corpus at Les Jeux de la Francophonie. Nicola is on faculty at George Brown Dance, Pegasus Studios, Creative Children’s Dance Centre and regularly guest teaches/choreographs all ages and levels at numerous schools, private studios and colleges throughout Canada. Nicola sits on Expect Theatre’s Board of Directors, on Moonhorse’s Advisory Committee and is a member of DCFI Equity Council. Nicola recently completed her training in Intimacy Direction. Recently, Nicola is performed in a site-specific work for Returning River, choreographed the ‘Community Project’ for Older and Reckless, choreographed “Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet” for Sheridan College, Hadestown for Wexford collegiate. Upcoming: choreographer for Porchview Dances (July 2025) dancer in Phalanx Revival (Summerworks 2025) choreographer for Guelph Youth Dance Ensemble (September 2025) and looks forward to creating new work through her company 3degrees with her husband, Adam Nashman. ​

Ida danced at Christina Pora’s Classical Ballet School, Hamilton City Ballet, Quinte Ballet School and The National Ballet School of Canada. She is a Vaganova trained dancer that also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from York University with Honours, specialized in Dance Kinesiology and her Associate Teaching Qualification from the Cecchetti Society and The Royal Academy of Dance. As a graduate from Canada’s National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program, Ida instills in her students strong technical training, as well as a healthy approach to dance mentally and physically. She is also the creator and founder of i.d.a. International Dance Arts, a new classical ballet syllabus that redefines how we teach ballet in today’s ever-evolving society.

Olivia began her dance journey at Pegasus Studio, where her passion for movement and self-expression blossomed at a young age. With a strong foundation in various dance styles, she found her true calling in hip-hop, drawn to its dynamic energy, creativity, and storytelling power.

As a dedicated performer and choreographer, Olivia has trained extensively in hip hop, contemporary, jazz, jazz funk, heels and more and has participated in dancing for the Argos A team, the Raptors Northside crew and spent a year traveling with Royal Caribbean! She continues to refine her skills through workshops and collaborations with other dancers, staying inspired by the ever-evolving world of dance.

Now, as part of the Pegasus faculty, Olivia brings her enthusiasm, experience, and love for teaching to every class. Her goal is to inspire students to express themselves fearlessly, build confidence, and find joy through movement. Olivia is thrilled to be back at the studio that sparked her journey and is passionate about giving back to the community that shaped her love for dance.

Registration will open February 1st 2025 $100 non-refundable deposit per child is due with registration. Balance is due June 1, 2025.
